Hey all! Sorry it took so long to get these on here for you. Well, we had a crazy day yesterday! To break it down for you we broke down an hour into the 4 hour trip on the side of Hwy 44. The serpentine belt shredded because a pully flew off. God provided the most wonderful breeze to keep us cool and the only place on the entire hwy that had a small patch of flat ground and shade trees away from any danger. The kids were wonderful and never became nervous or upset with anything going on! They played several games to pass the time. Thank you to all of you amazing parents for raising such a great bunch of kids! They are awesome! We had to wait on the side of the road for about 3 hours. The Drurys and McRoberts just happened by, the Drurys had a case of water for all the kids and a local church was able to come with a small people mover, get most of us on the bus, the Drurys and McRoberts took the rest and Lori, Carole and I got to ride in the state troopers car! Carole and I were in the back, which was a first for both of us! Don’t yall feel your kids are safe now! HaHa! We all got to the McDonalds about a mile up the road and waited for another hour for the charter bus to come. Several people donated money so that we could pay Mr. Bob back for getting drinks for everyone! It was great! The kids all rehydrated and then played on the playground until the bus got there and we safely arrived at camp at approx. 7pm. The staff in the cafeteria was nice enough to stay late so that we could eat. They had pizza for us and an all you can eat ice cream bar! There were 2 other churches that were broken down on the way here too so we can’t wait to see what God is going to do in our lives this week because it’s very obvious satan does NOT want us here! Thank you so much for all of your prayers. We love you and are having so much fun!

Glad to hear you all made it there safely. I have no idea whose kid that is making the face…. it is certainly not mine…
Mandi sleeping priceless!! She is going to love the fact that you (Kathy?) took this picture!!! However, the older sister is loving it!!!
Thanks for the update & pictures. Gotta add we have amazing leadership as well. As a mom I wasn’t worried because I know she’s in awesome hands. Thanks for being there!
Thanks for the update and pics! well, ya know, half the fun and memories come when the bus breaks down! they’ll never forget it and it looks like it’s just all part of the adventure this week! i agree w/kris – awesome leadership going on for sure! hey – at least it didn’t rain!
I remember a youth mission trip where we had a flat tire before we got to Lake St. Louis and then later as we were climbing a mountain in Colorado on the way home from New Mexico we broke down near the top of the mountain on a two lane highway. Layman Adkins just happened to have the needed part. God is awesome! I can’t believe its my grandchildren who are now going on trips in the church bus.
