Kids’ Camp
Children’s camp is changing this coming summer 2010. We are excited to be able to go to a new camp this year. We will be going to Centri-Kid located at the SBU campus in Bolivar, MO (30 miles north of Springfield). It is a great camp with top notch speakers and worship leaders. There will be a large variety of new activities that the children can choose from.

- Completed grades 3rd through 5th
- Cost is $200.00 per camper

Departing and Returning Information
Arrive at Church: Monday July 5, 9:45 a.m.
Check in and get t-shirt
Check in all medicines with Lori Ebert (must be in Ziploc bag with name and instructions)
Label sack lunch and give to Lori Ebert (We will eating lunch at the rest stop in Rolla)
Give envelope with money for McDonalds to Lori Ebert during check in. Please write child’s name on the envelope.
Turn in mail for Monday – Thursday. (a note written separately for each day). Label clearly with campers name and grade.

Leave Camp: Friday, July 9, 10:30 a.m.
Eat lunch at Lebanon, MO at McDonalds 12:00 p.m. (Send money in envelope for McDonalds and write child’s name on it. Give to Lori Ebert at check in.
Arrive at church: 3:30 p.m. The bus will call the church office 30 min. prior to arrival to indicate status.
Camp Medical Release Form :: 2009-2010
What to bring:
- Twin fitted Sheet, large blanket or sleeping bag
- Pillow and pillowcase, pajamas
- Towels, washcloth, soap, & shampoo
- Toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant
- Bible, notepad, pen and backpack to carry things in.
- Sunscreen, Insect repellent, Water bottle
- Swimsuit (girls one piece or two piece with dark t- shirt worn over it )
- Clothes that can be worn to recreation and tracks
- Closed toe, closed heel shoes (for outdoor activities)
- A dark t-shirt if you plan to take tracks including activities with water.
- Clothes that can get really messy (for OMC and for a messy track)
- Water bottle
- Spending money for snacks, camp store, and missions offering (see store list)
- They can bring snacks to eat in their room – nothing messy please.
- Team color shirt (3rd grd. Yellow, 4th grd. Green, 5th grd. Blue)
What to leave:
- Electronic items! Anything of value!
- Excessively short or tight fitting clothing
- Anything that calls attention to underwear (sagging pants, rolling down
- waistband, etc.)
Medicine:
If your child needs any medication or special attention please give us this extra
information, IN WRITING on the back of the medical release form. Medication
should be packed in a Ziploc bag with child’s name on it and dosage information
enclosed. Please turn in at the Check-in desk the morning we leave for camp.
Swimming:
There will be an indoor pool there. Adults, camp lifeguards, and counselors will
supervise when campers are in the water.
Mail Call:
Please PREWRITE mail for your child for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday. Keep notes positive and upbeat and include multiple family
members when possible. Be sure to mark the child’s name, grade, and day
on each envelope and place in a labeled manila envelope or zip lock bag. Mail
should be turned in at the check-in desk the morning we leave for camp.
Additional needs:
Please pray for the safety and well being of everyone involved in camp this year.
We are going to camp to grow closer to God – giving each child an opportunity
to experience God’s world and to increase awareness of their relationship to
Jesus Christ. There will be no unsupervised free time, rest assured your child
will be well cared for!
